Our laboratory uses a computer-assisted orthotic manufacturing system. Foot impressions are carefully evaluated, digitally scanned and corrected. The positives are then milled out. This technology replaces the obsolete manual plaster cast technique. The orthotic shell material is then vacuum thermoformed.
Our technology has significantly improved the functionality and quality of the orthotics and reduces the turnaround time and cost. The image files are saved on our computer system. Additional orthotics can be produced without the need for new impressions. PAL foot orthotics are designed using any impression medium (foam, plaster, wax, 3D scans, etc.) taken of the patients feet. The impressions are digitally scanned and corrected. The inserts are then directly milled out of the prescribed material and covered as requested.
