How does PAL's EZ DME Medicare billing service work?

  1. Prescribe one of PAL's reimbursable products. Refer to product list above.
  2. Complete the PAL EZ DME Patient Delivery Ticket / Intake Sheet. PAL will send you the preprinted form with your order. You'll just need to fill in the missing information! A sample of the claim form that will arrive with your invoice is included in your EZ DME Introduction Packet.
  3. Fax the completed PAL EZ DME Patient Delivery Ticket / Intake Sheet to EZ DME at (817) 413-9908.
  4. EZ DME processes your claim and submits it electronically to the appropriate DMERC (Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carrier).
  5. You receive your Medicare payment within 17–24 days.

How much does PAL's EZ DME program cost?

Zip. Zero. Zilch.

As a complimentary service to our valued clients, PAL will incur the cost of your “Basic Service” claims on PAL products. Clients requiring more than the “Basic Service” will be expected to incur the “Full Service” charge. Refer to the EZ DME Claims Service Agreement for detailed explanation of “Full Service.”

What does the EZ DME "Basic Service" include?

  • Review of your claim for completeness and correctness
  • Electronic submission of your claim to the appropriate DMERC
  • Return of DMERC response reports, including explanation of a DOB (Denial of Benefit)

How do I get reimbursed?

All claim reimbursement goes directly to you. Payment is typically received in 17-24 days.

How do I begin using PAL's EZ DME billing service?

  1. You need a Medicare DME (Durable Medical Equipment) provider number. If you do not currently have one, download the Medicare Provider/Supplier Enrollment Application CMS 855S. You may also request to have an application packet mailed to you by calling PAL.
  2. You will need to sign the EZ DME Claims Service Agreement and fax it to PAL at 877.957.5647. No sign-up charge. No minimum usage charge. No monthly charge.

What happens if my claim is rejected?

Rest assured, less than 1% of all claims filed through EZ DME are rejected.

If your claim is rejected, you will be promptly notified. Per your request, EZ DME will resubmit your claim. EZ DME will charge you $2.50 for this service and you will receive an invoice at the end of the month. PAL will not incur the cost of resubmitting rejected claims.
